You add airports and it decodes the ATIS info etc, and shows current weather in a graphic form for those who like me get confused with those weather briefings. this is a great app if using real weather in the Sim. The waypoints page can display everything around you that you choose to show - then you just click on it to get Airport info, VOR frequency etc.Īll this is seamless in a package where you select soft keys at the bottom of the app to change function - and there is zero lag in this brilliant app. It picks up flight plans entered into FSX and display ILS codes and so on - shows legs and time remaining etc. Altitudes can be entered in seconds, also same for IAS, vertical speed, course, heading, baro, etc - and being wireless you can control your flights from the dinner table or bathroom :-)Īnother page has the FMC, and another a waypoints page. I can change a radio frequency and make it active in 4 secs - same with transponder and ADF.Īnother page has the same input ability for autopilot functions. You can also choose to display either Vatsim, IVAO, or Pilotedge online traffic on the map pageĪdded to that you get a comms interface page that is simply sublime in use. These two displays can be used side by side or full page. You get the full glass cockpit display for instruments with another PFD map style display with your position over terrain. Also works on xplane.Īirtrack gives you multiple functions in the one seamless package that connects the iPad through wifi to FSX. No matter what type of flying I do this app is always useful. this is not cheap but it is by far the best app add-on I have tried. I use various apps for different types of flying:Īirtrack. The iPad has become a key part of my sim flying.
